Trip Introduction

Nestled in the far east of Nepal, on the border with Sikkim, India, lies the well-preserved hidden gem known as Kanchenjunga. The majority of trekkers avoid the Kanchenjunga Circuit climb because of the difficult terrain and unique permissions required for the climb. Additionally, not many tourists are aware of this intriguing trekking path. At 8,586 meters, Kanchenjunga is the third-highest peak in the world. The Kanchenjunga Circuit trip traverses both the north and south base camps of the mountain.

This is a remote region trek, thus having some trekking experience and a decent degree of fitness are preferred. Nevertheless, trekkers can visit the Ramtang and Oktang Monasteries to get insight into the way of life of the locals despite the area's isolation. Along the journey, travelers will see the Yalung Glacier, rhododendron, birch, and pine woods, rivers, waterfalls, beautiful meadows, and, of course, the gorgeous mountains.
