Trip Introduction

Island Peak Climbing, also known as Imja Tse is popular among climbers because of its beauty, which looks like the island of ice on the elevated region ringed by the Himalayas.  A fascinating and great climbing peak in the center of Khumbu Himalayas, Island Peak soars as high as 6,189m. It is an ideal peak to begin the Himalayan adventure of climbing and the challenges to conquer this beautiful mountain are considered moderate.

Climbing Island Peak comes with many fantastic highlights. The journey to the summit of Island Peak is scenic and thrilling. The well-designed itinerary allows climbers abundant acclimatization facilities and our guides who are trained and experienced in taking western climbers to summit the mountains and bring them back safely are always ready to help in any circumstances. Based on fully organized camps, our trained Sherpa Cook has expertise in serving hygienic and balanced diet throughout the adventure. Even, the itinerary is designed taking proper guidance from our experienced guide and is prepared for those who want very intensive walking in trek every day and want to climb the challenging peak accordingly

Physical Condition and requirement

Planning to climb the peaks of Nepal, you would require a basic technique and information of mountaineering such as using crampons on boots, using climbing ropes, ice axe, harness, carabineers, descender device, etc. Our climbing guide will brief you and train you the basic techniques. However, you must be in good shape and fitness, must have good health, and should be able to walk 5 to 7 hours ups and downs a day. Proper preparation and strong determination for the trip are very important. Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks prior to the trip is a good idea to enhance strength and stability.

Trekking in the Himalayan region goes through unexpected complication like natural and health challenges resulting in changes in the itinerary for your own security reason, If such an incident happens during the trek our professional Guide, Porters and leader take you to final point safely for evacuation so, please be friendly with your guide for more achievements and protections. Flights in the Himalayan region often get canceled even in the best season due to bad weather so we request our travelers to carry luggage for extra days.
