The great and majestic Himalayas, unique culture, tradition and religious festivals and various cast and creed people having unity in diversity had made Nepal known all across the world. There are more than 40 festivals celebrated in Nepal every year. The best about the festivals in Nepal is that all the festivals are celebrated with same enthusiasm and in large numbers as Nepal is multilingual, multicultural and multi-religious country having unity in diversity. Celebrating festivals unite all the diverse cultural background together. Although most of the festivals are religious some have historical significance. Among multifarious unique festivals each having its own identifications, Dashain is one of them better known as Vijaya Dashami is greatest auspicious and longest National festival of Nepal which is usually celebrated during the month of Kartik (late September to early October). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.treksplannernepal.com\/nepal\/trekking-in-nepal.html\"><strong>Trekking in Nepal<\/strong><\/a> during this festival season offers extra advantage to experience and explore the culture, tradition, religious festivals and historical sites.<\/p>\n<p>Dashain is the longest and most auspicious festival in the Nepali Bikram Sambat calendar celebrated by Nepalese people along with their Diasporas throughout the globe. Across the kingdom of Nepal the goddess Durga in all her demonstration are worshipped with manifold pujas, ample offerings, worships and thousands of animal sacrifice for the ceremonial sacred bathing, thus soaking the goddess for days in blood. Goddess Durga Bhawani is highly worshipped during this festival and is believed to be the source of all kind of vital power and strength. In the silver age lord Ram had worshipped to goddess mother Bhagawati Durga to receive power to kill the animosity fiend Ravan. Lastly the goddess mother was pleased by his devotion and he was graced with power to kill the abhorrence demon. Then all the people of earth were relived from his frightening.<\/p>\n<p>People all around the world unite and get together to celebrate the holy festival. \u00a0All the family members, relatives and friends get together during this festival time. And more noticing, this festival is the unity days to forget all kinds of enmity and unite together in the easy to get along with or like-minded friendships for days to come. The mythological scriptures say more; if he\/she is a true Hindu he\/she follows this sermon and the lord offers him\/her a good blessing\u2019. The festival is ten day long and the important days are the very first day called as Ghatasthapana, the seventh day called as Fulpati followed by Maha Asthami on eight day, Maha Nawami on ninth and on tenth day the Dashami or Vijaya Dashami. Following all these important days the very amazing aids and attempts regarding the worshipping of goddess Durga Bhawani are carried out and performed religiously. As autumn season is all about <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.treksplannernepal.com\/nepal\/trekking-in-nepal.html\">trekking in Nepal<\/a> during Dashain festival<\/strong>, starting from September to November, Tihar and chhath another great festival starts few days after the Dashain. They young kids and youngsters enjoys Ping swinging and enjoys ensuring and involving in big festive fairs, as various mela or fair is organized at several places all for fun and entertainment. Likewise there are a lot of new and unique worthwhile festival moments to experience.<\/p>\n<p>Nepal is not a super organized country. That\u2019s the beauty of Nepal. Its unique and different country where you can experience the entire low plain terai land locality, mountain range and Hilly region, each region having its own identification, culture and traditions. Dashain is one of the festivals that make it such a special place to visit and explore you with all never before experiences. Autumn season (September to November) is considered as best trekking season for <strong>trekking and visiting in Nepal <\/strong>as this season offers excellent weather and majestic mountain views and best is that it\u2019s also the period of festival as Nepal celebrates the greatest Hindu festival, Dashain followed by Tihar and chhath. The biggest advantage about being in Nepal at Dashain time for tourists is that city roads are virtually empty which provides the best time to experience and explore the cities old heritage sites without usual motorbikes and little cars tearing through them and traffic. Likewise the usual shove and dash of Kathmandu and other popular cities fade. The touts, hawkers and street sellers have all gone home and you can wonder all around the cultural sites, old city and ghats in relative peace.
