It is the sequence of nineteen days celebration which is continuously celebrated and officially celebrated for three days. It is observed from the first day of the tenth month according to the Tibetan lunar calendar, which falls between October and November under English calendar. It is also a sacred ceremony and a series of events of empowerment. Mani Rimdu festival is one of the popular festivals of the Everest region, especially for Buddhist religion followers. All the Sherpa community and Tibetan people gather here every year to celebrate with the lamas (high priests) but along with the celebration they also pray for the welfare of the world. They also perform masked dances, prayers, and feasts. This dance represents the Buddhist destruction of all pagan gods that live in the Himalayas in the festivals all monks are masked up to represent the old ghost. Money Rimdu is a legendary event. It is divided into six different preparation parts, Construction of sand mandala, the empowerment, the dances, Ser-Kyem, The fire puja, and Chhingpa. By using the color sands mandala is constructed step by step and finally, it views complicated and symbolic design. It takes many days to construct sand mandala. Mandala symbolizes the place for the lord to dance. The empowerment is the opening day of the public ceremony. It is performed on the full moon day of the tenth month under the Tibetan lunar calendar. The scared pills (Mani Rilwu) and pills for long life (Tshereel) are given to everyone those who are attending. The dances views we can see symbolic demons are conquered and chased away. The dance conveys Buddhist teaching on many levels. During the dance, the monks are believed to become a divine being. These dances are only performed on Mani Rimdu because they are considered to be very scared and that\u2019s not for the extraordinary entertainment. Ser-kyem is most commonly is used to make tea offering to the Dharma guards. It has two pieces: a larger raised dish-shaped bowl and a smaller raised offering bowl. A central theme in Buddhist practice to offer these beings, so that they will help with the virtuous action which leads to Buddhahood. The fire puja is performed in the yard the day after dances. The fire puja is offered to the god of fire and to the gods of the mandala. Afterward, the sand mandala of the temple is parted into many pieces and the sand is given as the offering to the serpent gods (Nagas). The next dance form performed after that Chhingpa. Shining paper masks hides the face of the dancers, each and different colors. This dance portrays the four protecting Ghings, defending the Buddhist faith attacked against by the demons. The dance is performed gently. Slow motion dance steps on the slow beat of bells and drums performed by five young priests. Nepal also organizes the trekking tour along celebration of this Mani Rimdu festival on the package. Mani Rimdu is especially celebrated in Tengboche monastery which is located on Everest region. So, on the route towards the Everest view trek, you can find the 14 days trekking package at the time of October to November under English calendar to visit the festival. On day 1 meet the greetings in Kathmandu airport after meeting we head towards the hotel and stay a night in Kathmandu. On day 2 we take a rest and have a well preparation and along we visit ancient temples and sites of Kathmandu valley. On day 3 we catch a flight to Lukla which is at the height of (2800m) and head towards Phakding (2610m). On day 4 we trek towards Namche Bazaar through the beautiful valley along Dudhkoshi River. On day 5 we take a rest and acclimatization at Namche Bazaar. You can explore the great mountain view of Everest from there. On day 6 trek to Tengboche (3870m), 5 to 6 hours walk. You can see the beginning of the festival. Day 7 and 8, to watch and entertain on a festival, lots of time to know and watch Mani Rimdu festival. On day 9 trek towards Namche Bazaar, after 5 to 6 hours you can step in Namche and stay overnight at lodge. On day 10 trek towards Lukla, it consumes 7 to 8 hours to reach Lukla and stay overnight at lodge. Day 11 fly back towards Kathmandu and you can have a rest and shopping on that day. At the night our team will have dinner at a Nepalese restaurant enjoying Nepali cultural food and programs.
